Investment Firm Valkyrie Files for Ether Futures ETF with U.S. SEC

0

Asset management firm Valkyrie has submitted an application for an Ether futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The move follows the company’s prior adjustment of its Bitcoin futures ETF strategy to align with regulatory guidelines. The ETF won’t directly invest in Ether, focusing instead on purchasing ETH futures contracts. Valkyrie’s application highlights Ether’s role as both a digital commodity and potential currency, with limited commercial use. If approved, the ETF will also invest in cash, cash-like instruments, and high-quality securities, while adhering to Chicago Mercantile Exchange position limits
